GENNARO CASTALDO WATCH

We're feeling shocked and a little used. With all these music stories breaking all over the place, where, we wonder, is HMV's Gennaro Castaldo? Off banging on about computer games, that's where; telling The Sun that there will be huge demand for the Play Station Portable. See the insights he has? And he's brought the same level of insight to This Is Money, figuring that if it's something everyone wants, then that might mean it'll sell, too:

Gennaro Castaldo, spokesman for HMV, the PSP was expected to fly off shop shelves on Thursday. He said: 'I think it is an issue of demand being so substantial that the supply just can't hope to meet that in the first day or the first week.'

We can understand that the buzz around the launch of the PSP - we understand, talking to young people, that's it like a Game And Watch, only it won't tell you the time - is leading Gennaro astray, but we won't tolerate this dereliction of duty lightly. Gennaro, we need some insight into the Gwen Steffani story. Something about Garbage splitting. Anything... please?
