FRODO AND THE STOOGES

Elijah Wood - apparently he was in The Lord of the Rings, which we believe some of you might have gone to see - is taking the role of Iggy Pop in a film due to be made sometime next year. Wood is worried about doing the film, though, as he idolises Iggy and doesn't want to be "the person responsible for screwing that up."

Although how he thinks portraying Pop as a bug-eyed midget is going to add to his memory, we don't know. We're not saying that there's no place for Wood in a rock movie, just that he ought to hold on until they make a live action version of Rupert and The Frog Chorus.
