ALFIE'S ON THE ROAD DISASTER

Nearly a bitter end for Alfie, as they narrowly escape an bus crash while travelling between Nottingham and Glasgow. Their coach collided with a car which had been left in the middle of the carriageway without lights on:

“The car driver was not in the car at the time. The band were all asleep in their bunks and were clearly awoken as a result of this incident. Fortunately the driver managed to control the coach and bring it to a standstill without any major injuries being sustained.”

The bus was written off; the driver hospitalised. The band got sent a replacement coach and resumed their journey.
