WHITE LINES - DON'T DON'T DON'T DO IT

Of course, there's more Kate and Pete stuff in the papers this morning: perhaps the most extraordinary tale comes from the Daily Record, where Gary [EDIT:not Carl - see comments] details an extraordinary claim: The post-Pete Libertines tried to play an anti-drugs gig, but were prevented when Doherty's lawyers stepped in and stopped them. In case it damaged Pete's image:

"We actually tried to put on an anti-drug concert last year, but couldn't because there were lawyers involved and legal ramifications of this and that.

"At that point, Pete was embroiled in drugs and they assumed it would be on the offensive regarding his drug-taking so his lawyers contacted us and said no. Fair enough. I guess it was deemed to be slanderous."

Well, you can see how Pete's clean-living image might have taken a knock by his old mates doing a Just Say No, can't you?

Meanwhile, Kate - who yesterday, you'll recall, was wandering round New York with teabags on her eyes - has now flown out to Ibiza. The Sun helps out for any of its readers who haven't heard of the place:

It’s a notorious party island awash with drugs.

Aah. I think I'm getting it now.

On-off boyfriend PETE DOHERTY went there on a huge bender just this weekend after Kate dumped him by phone.

Of course! That Ibizia.

While I've LOVED No Fun's coverage of all this malarky, can I point out it was Gary, not Carl, who said that.
