NEW OASIS STUFF. NEW BLUR STUFF.

There's some new Oasis stuff coming out at the end of November - although that's new in the Oasis sense; it's not like it's going to sound any different to the old stuff. Sittin Here In Silence (On My Own) (how we wish) will be a b-side to the single release of Let There Be Love.

Meanwhile, Damon Albarn has suggested there's going to be a new Blur ep before the end of the year which could mean another Blur versus Oa... oh, do wake up. It's exciting. Although apparently, erm, the EP will be a secret:

"I think we're gonna do an EP first, sometime by the end of this year, but you probably won't know about it.

"It'll just 'come out'. It'll be so, sort of, underplayed. It'll come out but you won't know it's us as it'll be so, well, not us.

"We've got the songs but we're gonna record them in a few hours and just be very laid back about it.

But not musically laid back. It'll be aggressive, aggressively laid back. It's the total opposite of Gorillaz."

Laid back aggression, eh? Right... righto...

Oh yes, that thing came into my mind immediately as well.....why not leave the whole "you won't know it's us" bollocks. doesn't he already have gorillaz for that ? still, on musical terms only new blur stuff is always a brilliant thing.....

Oasis' new record is the BEST since Definitely Maybe. The fact that there was even ever a "competition" betwen Oasis & Blur is nauseating. Clearly Oasis is heads above the status of blur. Not even in the same league. But then again, you already knew that...

To say those football hooligans of Oasis are better than Blur is an insult to any music lover. I understand that people with no central nervous systems enjoy the formula that is Oasis, but if you prefer to enjoy musicians that are not scared to go into new territory then the answer is Albarn et al. Do you know who else uses formulaic methods to create music....Brittney Spears...and who in their right minds listens to that whiney tart? So, bollocks to Oasis, Blur give us some more brilliance.

(Oasis is also Latin for Wanker) ... how true.
