HAWKINS HITS REHAB

Darkness activities have been put on hold as Justin Hawkins checks himself into celebrity-heavy spa The Priory (sorry, "clinic").

Oddly, his GP appears to have posted a statement to the Darkness website:

"It is of paramount importance that he [Justin] rests and recuperates over the next two weeks. I have advised him to cancel all work-related activities."

But, clearly, it's not serious he's had to go to a proper hospital.

I think it is extremely unfair to be so derogatory of The Priory Hospital. I spent three months there when I was seventeen suffering from Borderline Personality Disorder and the self-destructive and psychotic implications of the disease. The treatment I recieved was rigid and fierce but needed. It may be comfortable but it is in no way a 'holiday' or a 'spa'. The Doctors are highly professional, the nurses trained and alert, the groups well led and hard hitting. If it hadn't been for the Priory maybe I would be dead today.
i know the treatment program is anything but easy and for that alone I wish Justin Hawkins the best of luck in his recovery.
