First listen: Dinosaurs walk the earth again

How lovely to have a new Dinosaur Jr single after so very, very long - Gideon Coe played Almost Ready on his show today (Listen again - it's about two hours eighteen in). Coe observed that "almost" from the start it sounds like Dinosaur Jr, and it does - except a much more detailed form of the band. Perhaps it's the shift towards digital being so comprehensive since the band last picked up their instruments in a studio, but you can hear a lot more of how the glorious noise is structured. It's like having an expensive Irish whiskey after a week on the supermarket bourbon.
