Editors silenced by German police

With the end of the G8 conference, where are all those fired-up German police going to work out their frustrations now?

By going tooled up to march Editors off the stage in Cologne, apparently. The band were "too loud":

"The venue was an old church over the road from a load of houses and, during our set, they called the police to complain about the noise," bassist Russell Leetch told NME.COM. "The first we knew about it was when the police turned up just as we were starting our encore and told our tour manager to stop the set."

You wouldn't want to risk a bustling barbecue in the Rhineland, would you?
