Whatever happened to Michelle Shocked?

Every so often, Michelle Shocked resurfaces: most recently, doing a performance for Village Voice on the New York streets.

I saw her last night in Albany, doing a show for the public radio station WAMC. She just released a gospel album called "To Heaven You Ride." Go figure, a liberal activist who is also a fundamentalist Christian. Gotta love how that gal delights in being a grain of sand in the gears. It was a great show, even if she did spend most of it haranguing the audience to sing or clap. Hey Michelle, if you do it right then we'll participate without being asked!
