Aerosmith have trouble shifting Steve Tyler

The excitement of watching Aerosmith wandering about tripping over each other isn't through yet: after the announcement last week that Steven Tyler was out, Steven Tyler has now disannounced his departure at a Joe Perry gig:

"I just want New York to know, I am not leaving Aerosmith," Tyler said. Rather than leave it at that, however, he then chose to drop one of the best quotes we've heard in a while. Turning to the Aerosmith guitarist, he said, “Joe Perry, you are a man of many colours. But I, motherfucker, am the rainbow!”

A rainbow only has seven colours, though. Which would constitute a few, wouldn't it? Meaning that Perry's many colours > Tyler's seven colours.

I think you're quite right about this, Simon. Surely the canonical reference for the term "many colours" is Joseph's coat of many colours. And Andrew Lloyd-Webber is pretty specific about what that includes. It was red and yellow and green and brown and scarlet and black and ochre and peach and ruby and olive and violet and fawn
and lilac and gold and chocolate and mauve and cream and crimson and silver and rose and azure and lemon and russet and grey and purple and white and pink and orange and blue. That's 29 colours. Perry > Tyler.

But still, it's Steve Tyler! Once the core of the band is out, it's never the same band and doesn't have the same energy. It was great while it lastest; let's move on to something new, like Miley Cirus.

I'd shoot myself if I was serious.

I know a woman who is 24, engaged, and her biggest dream is to meet Miley Cirus because she considers herself her #1 fan... And she is a teacher... I don't know why she shocked me so. I mean, middle aged women who love Twilight are everywhere. And don't get me started on the 40 year old accountants who write Harry Potter fan fiction porn.
