David Bowie's morning surprise

Jesus, you can see why Bowie wanted to keep his new single, released this morning, a surprise. In fact, it's so weak, he'd probably have wanted people to not know about it after it became available.

Still, kudos to Bowie - who but he would surprise the world by releasing a single which appears to be a badly-broken part of Ray Davies' solo output?
