Crabwalk... hang on, that's not a crab

It's not uncommon for parents of sixteen year-old girls to discover a shady creature in their bedroom who shouldn't be there.

It's not always a scorpion.

But Ben Watt found one of them in his daughter's room. London Zoo sent round an expert who collected - ahem - everything but the girl. And the man. And the fu... oh, alright, they only collected the scorpion. They're now trying to work out what nature of scorpion it is.

24 Hours from David: 7. Alfie

For a while, Alfie, the theme song, was probably a bigger success than the movie. The cover versions have certainly been better than the remake of the movie. Sadly, the internet appears to lack an easily-accessible version of David McCallum's version of the song, so instead here's Everything But The Girl having a crack at it. Yes, there's the words scrawled in an ugly font, but at least it's not Jude Law's face.

The long Blarwell

No wonder the audience at Blair's timetable-for-departure speech were pleased to see him; they'd been tortured waiting for him to turn up. Radio Five Live had listed the music played to the waiting delegates, and it isn't pretty. In no particular order:

Mambo #5 (Louie Vega)
Beautiful Day (U2 - close personal friends, of course)
Reach For The Stars (yes, S Club)
Lifted (Lighthouse Family)
Missing (Everything But The Girl - presumably in the hope that we'll miss him like the Deserts miss the rain.)
