JACKSON NOT HAPPY WITH ALAN CUMMING IN HER FACE

Janet is the first of the decent Jacksons to break cover since the jury in her brother's trial said "well, he's probably a molester, but this once..." For some reason, Janet was being given a humanitarian award from a gay rights group; Alan Cumming did the presentation but Janet wasn't taken with his cheeky introduction (although, we understand, it was every bit as amusing as The High Life) and made a po-faced speech to explain why she was so po-faced:

"My family and I have just gone through the least humorous chapter of our lives," she explained in accepting the award Saturday night from the Human Rights Campaign. "I'm going to leave the jokes to the late-night (comics), if that's OK."

(You, too, can enjoy Alan Cumming all over your TV screen with the High Life on DVD, you know:

should you want to)
