ROBBIE WILLIAMS IS NOT IMPERVIOUS TO PAIN
There are few people whose jobs we are jealous of, but Derren Brown, who got to stick needles into Robbie Williams for some sort of TV show. Possibly Jim'll Fix It, although what are the chances of both of us sending the same request in?
Spookily, at the point where the programme was being filmed, our little Robbie voodoo doll doubled up, screaming in pain.
Seriously, the programme was Derren putting Robbie into a trance so that he wouldn't feel the pins and needles being shoved into him. It's incredibly effective - Robbie is there on the TV, for all the world like a man who hasn't recently had his body violated by a succession of pricks. That Brown really is a marvel.

I thought the stunt was sick. Robbie was clearly distressed, though he was good about it.
Fortunately it was performed before he went into rehab for pain killer addiction.
