ARE COKE AS ASHAMED AS WHITE SHOULD?

For some corporate reasons - we imagine it's an attempt to create some sort of "buzz", in a plan designed on a flipchart somewhere - Coke is only going to show the Jack White ad once in the UK.

At 1.55 on a Sunday morning.

Remember, of course, Jack only did the advert not for the piles of cash, but in order to get his love and his music out in the world.

At 1.55am on Channel 4. That's not an extraordinary lot of love, is it?

It's not about being on telly. It's about people *talking* about the bloody thing, e-mailing it to their friends, it's viral y'see, it's underground and cool like the Arctic Monkeys and blah blah blah...*loads gun - puts gun in mouth - pulls trigger*

What I don't understand is why Jack White's being treated like a baby killer while Paul "Man Of The People" Weller's song "Monday" is being used to promote that new lottery website to no outcry whatsoever. OK, I know Wellerdidn't write it especially for the ad, but he's taking the money, and I'm surprised he's not getting more (or any) stick for it.
