Madonna starts to remake the child
Since Madonna is - supposedly - following the laws covering the adoption of children, isn't it a bit presumptuous of her to (apparently) be planning to have David circumcised (according to The Sun, anyway) as a step towards Kabbalahing up her young charge.
It seems a little unlikely that even Madonna would be as presumptuous to modify a boy's body and change his religion while still, officially, merely in a caretaker's role, but the prospect of the snip has alarmed David's father Yohanne Banda:
“This goes against the Christian religion and is not something we would ever consider in Africa.
“We don’t ever get circumcised here. I would urge her to think again.”
Well, not quite all of Africa is anti-circumcision - there can't be a man whose eyes haven't watered at that bit in Nelson Mandela's Long Walk To Freedom.
We're expecting a denial to come floating out from the Madonna PR machine at some point in the next 48 hours.

I would rather there wasn't a denial from the PR machine as, no doubt, there will be photographic evidence proferred to stop conspiracy theories (theorists).
PS I'm Christian (Cafflik if you haven't guessed), circumcised and loving it. Some girls seem to prefer circumcised men...
I'm now having visions of an uncircumcised penis holding up a copy of today's Telegraph...

This kid like all kids has a right to all his normal healthy body parts. The foreskin has over half the sensual nerve endings.

It doesn't matter what WOMEN prefer, he's an infant boy, not a MAN. If he wants it done to himself in adulthood, then she should let him do that on his own. Maybe that's not what he even wants, how could she possibly know? Once it's done it can't be undone, but it can be done when he's 18 if he so chooses. LET HIM DECIDE, it's not about religion or tradition, it's about HIS choice about HIS body.
Also, men who keep their foreskins all their life, or keep it at least through their childhood have a much better sex life than those who were circumcised as infants. Leave the poor little guy's foreskin where it is!
