A bad week for Simon Cowell

As if rolling his eyes during a speech about the slaughtered of Virginia Tech wasn't enough of a sign that Simon Cowell is starting to lose his touch, it now turns out he's been a little less than careful with his home security, as well. He lent builders working on his "pad in London's trendy Holland Park" (i.e. a flat) the keys - and now someone has waltzed in and carted off his belongings. The police spokesperson has been quick to rip Cowell to shreds in public - indeed, so much did they seem to enjoy it, we suspect their mam might have been on the wrong side of Cowell's tongue in an X Factor audition and this was the coldest, most delicious revenge:

"It was an unwise decision to say the least. You wouldn't believe some of the things Mr Cowell had accumulated over the years that the thieves took a fancy to."

Doubtless Louis Walsh was itching for someone to ring him for a quote.

He didn't. If you had watched the first five minutes of Wednesday night's show, you'd know that. Gee, looks like you're not a reliable news source.

Well, yes, we're almost certainly not a reliable news source, but...

... he rolled his eyes.

This isn't going to turn into another one of those tiresome empty debates - like with Jo O'Meara - where people try to argue that something people saw happening didn't actually happen? The 'Simon Cowell didn't roll his eyes' people are the 'Moon landings on a backlot at NBC' of our time, aren't they?

Oh, and anonymous, I guess by the 'first five minutes' you mean the attempt to salvage the brand at the start of the following programme?

I guess that might convince someone who watches American Idol...

Just to confuse things, I DID see Simon Cowell roll his eyes, but I'm also one of those whack-jobs who's convinced the Moon landings happened on a backlot at NBC.

Sorry.

"... you wouldn't believe..."

In a similar, nobody would believe that Simon Cowell bats for both sides according to a BBC source yet is strangely reluctant to mention this in interviews. Heaven forfend should there be any non hetero-related items in that burglar's swag bag...
