Mixing pop and politics, he asks me what the use is
Sometimes, it disappoints us that more pop stars don't use their position and access to the media to talk about things that really matter.
Then Nicola Roberts talks politics, and we're glad that more don't:
Nicola Roberts has branded PM Gordon Brown a "little toad who talks shite" and declared her support for Girls Aloud fan David Cameron.
Still, it's lovely to see the band approach politics in exactly the same way they'd go about having a fight in a nightclub toilet.

although to be fair to her, the original quote (from yesterday's observer) was something along the lines of "I'd vote for Cameron, just because it's good to have a change". She may be a bit of a political featherweight but there's no denying that many a politician's been dumped on their arse because their party's been in power too long.
As for the toad bit, you really can't argue with that....
