The Game is a delightful piece of work, isn't he?

Ha ha ha, The Game has been posting some jokes to Twitter:

"If you look any other way but straight while you pissin' you got that #FagSwag"
and
"If you cried when the ship sank in Titanic... You got that #FagSwag"
The Game - a pretty young thing who has doodled stars on his face - was called out on this by Perez Hilton ("You know you're in the wrong when Perez Hilton is in the right" being a Twitter meme all by itself) and you'll never guess his response?

He was only telling jokes, right?
"@PerezHilton this is comedy.... Stop gettin ya panties all inna bunch... That's #FagSwa."
I see, Mr Game. Trouble is, your pledge that it's comedy fails on two counts - first, it's nasty homophobia and secondly, more importantly, you're confusing "comedy", which is funny, with "witless buttdribble", which is what you've created.

Mr Game's jokes are in no way a bid for him to try and cope with the strange feeling he gets in his pee-pee when he imagines 50 Cent showering.

The Game - he's a card

The Game came up with a funny prank. He tweeted a number and invited his fans to call it for an internship.

There was no such internship - but how funny to make your fans think there was, eh? Big laughs there, straight away.

The number was actually for the LASD. Yes, the police. They weren't thrilled with hundreds of people clogging their lines, and are threatening to pursue The Game.

How does Mr Game react? Not by saying sorry:

Yall can track a tweet down but cant solve murders ! Dat was an accident but maybe now yall can actually do yall job!!! #ispeak4thepeople
Yes, Game. Because asking one of the hundreds of people "why do you think there is an internship here?" and "solving" this case was a massive logistical challenge compared to something as simple as solving murders, isn't it?

I love the way he tries to hashtag a suggestion that wasting police time in this way was somehow actually a campaigning attempt to force police accountability. And he might have gotten away with it too, were it not for his simultaneous attempt to say it was an accident.

How do you actually demand a chart recount?

Slipknot have stolen the US album chart number one position from The Game.

The Game's LAX was ahead when the chart was first published, but only by a thin slither of a margin, so for some reason, they decided to count again. This time - somehow - All Hope Is Gone came out on top. So that's the number one.

Given that the data must have stayed the same, and presuming that they use a computer to do the adding up, how exactly did it get two different results from the same process on the same numbers? Or are the US album charts counted by hand, using huge ledgers and abacuses? Did Microsoft issue a patch halfway through to correct the "7+7=13" bug?

We might never know. We should, however, be delighted that the compilers of the American chart take their job of awarding the prize to the correct candidate so seriously. If only they could be put in charge of the presidential election results.

Timbaland, The Game, and the uncleared sample

Timbaland and The Game (is there anything more stupid than a name which begins with "the", by the way?) are being pursued for copyright infringement. Saregama India claims the pair used a sample from one of their artists on The Game's 2005 album. It's not clear why it's taken two years for them to notice - presumably they couldn't stand to listen to the album more than a track or two at a time.

Game won't play the game

The Game has refused a plea deal over charges that he pretended to be a policeman last year. If he'd copped to the bargain, the time he'd served waiting for the case to come up would have meant he could go free. But his attorney Jeffrey Lichtman said no deal:

"Why should he plead guilty to bogus charges for a non-jail sentence if he's innocent," Lichtman said outside court. "And he is innocent. It's rare that I have a 100 percent innocent defendant, but this is one."

We're hoping that Lichtman's public statement that normally his clients are at least a little guilty doesn't affect the rest of the cases he has to deal with.

The Game out the game for a while

LA Police have arrested The Game, apparently on charges of making criminal threats. They spent three hours searching his house before carting him off, which makes you wonder what they were looking for. Perhaps it's like when we make notes before ringing the pizza place to make sure that we get the order right. Maybe they found a piece of paper with 'ring frank - threaten to break legs - ask about children [SINISTER TONE!]' or something on it.
