Who wrote on Bryan Adam's guitar?

Bryan Adams is cross, because when he picked up his guitar after arriving in Egypt, it has been defaced:

Customs say it wasn't them:
A customs official said instruments were marked with serial numbers, although usually with stickers. Regarding the ink, he suggested: “Maybe it wasn’t us?”
It was also unlikely to be music lovers, who would have smashed the guitar to pieces.

Jay Kay's car smashed

It's interesting when the standard practice on TV now is to blur any and all car number plates that appear on screen, tonight's Look East left Jay Kay's Ferrari's personalised number to remain in clear view. While the reporter explained that Jay Kay was "disappointed" by the attack - a pastry chef has been accused of smashing the vehicle. Kay believes that someone smashing his car window "says something about the British psyche".

Although the British psyche might feel entitled to ask what spending a million pounds on a car that you couldn't even take an old oven to the tip in says about Jay Kay's Id.

If you get a chance to see the Look East report [online for 24 hours from about now, and then maybe 20 minutes in] there is a splendid moment designed to burn off any residual sympathy mindless vandalism might have generated in the observer, as Kay declines to give an interview but instead dances in the background of the piece like a twelve year-old kid on white cider.

Kapranos calls the car vigilantes

Alex Kapranos appears to have been ripped off by the Beastie Boys:

[H]is prized vintage Mercedes has been robbed of its precious badge.

Alex had parked the G-registration Merc outside his Glasgow flat while he was busy working on new material with the rest of the band.

He was dismayed when he returned to find it stripped of its badge.

Alex said: "If anyone knows who snapped the badge off the front bonnet when it was parked outside my flat, can you give his balls a wee boot from me? Much obliged."

He's then at pains to stress that the car only cost him £250 - so "vintage" in the "old and knackered" sense rather than something Lord Montagu might be interested in.
