This week just gone

This week on No Rock and Roll Fun, the ten most-read individual stories were:

1. R Kelly's sex video to form evidence
2. Lily Allen wears a different outfit
3. McFly take their clothes off
4. The crazy world of Heather Mills
5. Beth Ditto strips off to make, um, some point
6. Nelly Furtado turns down Playboy
7. What is the sexual preference of KT Tunstall?
8. Martin Crandall arrested on domestic violence charges
9. Topless Edith Bowman stalked by paparazzi
10. Why did Casey Calvert die?

We looked ahead to this season's rock books:

Mick Middles - The Fall: A Complete Guide To Their Music Middles makes sense of the prolific works of Mark E Smith

Mark E Smith - Renegade ... while the man himself tries to deal with the rest

Alex Ross - The Rest Is Noise New Yorker music critic sweeps across the sounds of the 20th Century

Thomas Jerome Seabrook - Bowie In Berlin A chronicle of the Laughing Gnome having his Brecht fest

Pearl Lowe - All That Glitters Much as we loved Powder, surely calling Lowe "a singer in a hugely successful band" is stretching it somewhat?

Bleddyn Butcher - Save What You Can Ominously, the apology for the long gestation of this David McComb bio promises "February 05 is a solid publication date"

As the Bowman story is back in the top ten, there was an odd story doing the rounds this week that she'd told an interviewer that she'd snowboard naked for a million pounds, but only if the money went to charity, and only then if the piste was otherwise deserted. If she's that keen she brought it up apropos of nothing, couldn't she do that anyway if there was nobody else about?

And who would be paying a million quid just for the idea of Bowman snowboarding naked (to charity or not)? That's quite a specific fetish, isn't it?
