Australian airline workers called for Oasis to be banned from their airspace while their people got agitated at reports one of their party had been found with drugs at an Italian airport; Ashanti tried to compete with the recently sainted Aaliyah by saying how much she enjoyed the idea of being wanked over; MTV celebrated 15 years in the UK by revealing Nirvana were their most-played act - this was back when they showed videos; largely-forgotten Pressplay tried to shift from rent-to-buy for their download service; Kate Moss made her recording debut with Primal Scream; Bill Bailey took over Sean Hughes' seat on Buzzcocks to allow Seanie to go and muck Eileen Grimshaw about; a desperate group of eye-popping right wingers tried to cash in by calling themselves the MP3 Party while cab-themed music site the Knowledge.com went south of the river for good while Chris Moyles was told off for claiming he'd have sex with Charlotte Church.
